Event Sponsorship
Special events each year offer sponsorship opportunities with extensive publicity.
Bowl-a-thon sponsors donate $250 - $500 to underwrite this January event. Sponsors are included in our flyers, media coverage, newsletter and registration forms. Companies also organize teams of employees to participate. Team spirit and good cheer is the perfect compliment to the holiday season.
Spring Brunch supporters are listed in our event invitation, which is distributed to 5,000 people, and in our newsletter. This annual rite of spring is the place to be on the first Sunday in May. To be included, sponsors donate $100 $250. Businesses also support our Brunch auction with donations of goods and services.
Squash Hunger: our newest campaign to help beat hunger! Encouraging gardeners in the Capital Region to grow a row for the hungry, underwriters provide the cash donations and in-kind advertising that will make this event a seasonal highlight. Sponsors take advantage of more than $40,000 worth of publicity and advertising. Donation amounts are $500, $1,000, and $2,500 with the maximum publicity provided to our Platinum sponsors.
Donations of goods & services
Each year Capital District Community Gardens needs to supplement its modest budget with $50,000 in donated goods and services. To keep our programs going, we are always in need of garden equipment (lawnmowers, tillers, chainsaws, carts, garden tools, lumber) and services (tree trimming, fence repairs, bulldozing). These are just a few of the things we could put to good use, please contact our office for other ideas.
