Making an Individual Donation

Support for Capital District Community Gardens (CDCG) is a direct investment in people, neighborhoods and communities in the Capital Region. Your donation is used to make our cities greener, healthier and more productive. Please make a tax-deductible contribution to CDCG to help us create opportunities for people to help themselves and their communities.

• The Developer's Club supports the development of new community gardens
• Our permanent endowment ensures that CDCG's work will always continue

Real Estate Donations
Put your vacant land to good use by donating it to Capital District Community Gardens. The community will gain a new garden, and you’ll receive a substantial tax deduction.

Planned Giving
Designating CDCG as a beneficiary in your will guarantees that our programs will be available for future generations. At the same time, you and your heirs receive substantial savings on estate taxes.

Donations of goods & services
Each year Capital District Community Gardens must supplement its modest budget with $50,000 in donated goods and services and thousands of hours of donated labor. To keep our programs going, we are always in need of garden equipment (lawnmowers, tillers, chainsaws, carts, lumber) and services (tree trimming, fence repairs, bulldozing). We can also make good use of your garden tools, top soil, seeds, and plants. We are also collecting used printer cartridges from laser and inkjet printers. By mailing these cartridges in to a recycling program CDCG earns money! These are just a few of the things we need; please contact our office for other ideas.

Memorial and Tribute Donations
This is a special way to remember someone or to celebrate a special event.
